    The first step for replacing the ABS Control Module of a 2005 cadillac sts requires you to place the ignition in off mode before you detach the negative Battery Cable so that various dtcs do not get triggered. To deactivate the high-speed lan control modules it is necessary to wait for at least 2 minutes after turning off the ignition. Detach the negative Battery Cable followed by raising and supporting the vehicle and removing the air deflector shield and the right front wheelhouse liner but keeping the washer solvent container in place unless there is a bracket to remove. Start by cleaning around the ABS Control Module before pressing the retainer to disconnect its electrical connector through forward rotation of the connector tab. Use a screwdriver to detach the four screws connecting the ABS Control Module to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) then remove the ABS Control Module from the bpmv because the ABS Control Module needs replacement when faulty. Installation begins by cleaning the bpmv seal surface followed by connecting the pump motor internal connector to the new ABS Control Module before screwing the device onto the bpmv with four screws that should get tightened in a sequence up to 5 nm (44 lb in). Follow the sequence of tasks that includes attaching the ABS Control Module electrical connector then close the rotating tab and reinstall both the washer solvent container bracket and the wheelhouse liner and the air deflector shield. After disconnecting the negative cable lower the vehicle then reconnect it while programming a new ABS Control Module when necessary before executing a diagnostic system check - vehicle.
