Control Module

Before replacing the ABS Control Module you must deal with brake dust and fluid contaminants before being mindful of how brake fluid affects paint and electronics. Pairing the new ABS Control Module with the correct tire dimensions must be done after installation and complete cleaning should occur around the Electronic Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU) to stop contaminants from reaching its components during disassembly. Start the ABS Control Module disconnection process by unclipping all the electrical connectors before proceeding to unscrew the four T 25-TORX mounting screws that attach the ABS Control Module to the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). Safely extract the ABS Control Module from the BPMV while using only light pressure and doing so by hand without using tools as pry mechanisms. Use a clean cloth to clean the mounting surfaces of the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve and ABS Control Module. New mounting screws need to be used during the installation of the new ABS Control Module while omitting the use of any existing screws. RTV along with other sealants should never be used on ABS Control Module gasket and mating surface areas. Secure the ABS Control Module onto the BPMV by using four new T-25 TORX screws and tightening them to 5 Nm (39 inch lbs.) in crisscross alignment. The electrical connectors should be reconnected to the ABS Control Module while tire calibration requires the Scan Tool Tire Size Calibration function.
