    Q:
How to replace the exhaust crossover exhaust pipe on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for crossover Exhaust Pipe replacement requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the throttle body air inlet duct then draining the cooling system coolant. Start by taking off the inlet Radiator Hose from the engine and following it with the thermostat bypass pipe and the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts to disassemble the heat shield. Once finished disconnect the exhaust crossover pipe studs and nuts as well as the complete exhaust crossover pipe. The first step of installation requires you to install the exhaust crossover pipe while also attaching exhaust crossover pipe studs/nuts and tightening them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The exhaust crossover heat shield bolts need to be installed next while applying torque of 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). After this install the thermostat bypass pipe followed by the inlet Radiator Hose to the engine while filling the cooling system with engine coolant before reattaching the throttle body air inlet duct then reconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable.

    Q:
How to replace the muffler on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Muffler, you first need to raise and support the vehicle. It is also important to support the Catalytic Converter to avoid the internal damage on flexibile coupling; it ensures there is no vertical movement at the rear of the Catalytic Converter assembly above or below 6 degrees. It is also possible to use a utility stand for this purpose. Then, exploit the bolts of Catalytic Converter and gasket, then the exhaust hanger insulators of the exhaust pipes. For awd models, support and lower the rear x-member. After that, take out the Muffler and exhaust pipes towards the front of the vehicle and the rear axle, and clean the Catalytic Converter flange and Muffler flange. Installation placement involves positioning the Muffler and exhaust pipes over the rear axle and at the rear for the vehicle, after which install exhaust hanger insulators to the exhaust pipes. For awd, have the rear crossover put back and a new Catalytic Converter Gasket. Mount the Catalytic Converter bolts and tighten them down to 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs.) and lower the vehicle.
