    Q:
How to replace the radiator fan safely and effectively on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
Safety comes first when changing the electric Radiator Fan so users must stay clear of the underhood electric fan because it might start running automatically without engine power. Replace all damaged or cracked fan blades or housing because they create dangers for vehicle occupants and the vehicle itself. Start by taking out the air cleaner assembly along with the duct if they are in your way. First disconnect the Fan Motor's wiring harness electrical connector before removing all Radiator Fan shroud bolts and the shroud itself. Put the Fan Shroud in place before you proceed according to fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the Radiator Fan shroud bolts at 6 nm of torque strength (53 inch lbs). Reconnect the Fan Motor wiring harness electrical connector then install the air cleaner assembly and duct as needed. Finally, inspect for proper operation.
