    Q:
How to replace the power door lock actuator in the front door on Chevrolet Blazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of replacing the front door power Door Lock Actuator requires first removing the door trim panel and water deflector and then the Door Latch Assembly. You should remove the 2 screws holding the lock actuator to the latch. After disconnecting the rubber Bumper from the latch the actuator can be pulled and rotated backwards to obtain proper separation before removing the actuator. The process of installation starts with putting the rubber Bumper on the latch followed by using the actuator to rotate toward the latch until the rubber Bumper fully engages. The correct installation requires a precise match between the first toothed gear section on both latch and actuator mechanisms. Install the actuator at the top of the latch before tightening it with the provided 2 screws according to the fastener notice while adjusting torque to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). After that reattach the latch to the door while putting back the deflector and the trim panel.

    Q:
How to Remove and Replace a Front Door Lock Actuator on GMC Sonoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must start the Door Lock Actuator replacement by taking out the door trim panel and then the water deflector and the Door Latch Assembly. The lock actuator needs its 2 holding screws removed for successful removal from the latch. Disengage the rubber Bumper from the latch by rotating the actuator simultaneously along with a lift motion. Afterwards remove the actuator off the latch. You need to mount the rubber Bumper to the latch before turning the actuator towards the latch to confirm complete engagement of the rubber Bumper with the latch. The proper operation requires first teeth alignment between actuator and latch gears before installation. Secure the actuator on top of the latch by following the provided fastener notice to complete installation using 2 screws while tightening them to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). Replace the latch into the door and then install the water deflector and the door trim panel.
