Install tie rod ends to the Steering Knuckle followed by connecting stabilizer shaft links to control arms before putting back tires and wheels. After lowering the vehicle bleed away power steering system air while aligning front wheels.

A vehicle lift with tire and wheel removal must occur before starting the Rack And Pinion replacement work. Begin by disconnecting the links of the stabilizer shaft to the control arms then removing tie rod ends from the Steering Knuckle. You must first separate the intermediate shaft lower pinch bolt holding the Rack And Pinion and therefore remove the stabilizer shaft. Start by lowering the vehicle then remove air pressure from the power steering system while simultaneously aligning the front wheels.

Disconnect the power steering hoses from the power steering gear and remove the power steering gear bolts from the frame.

Remove the stabilizer shaft and the power steering hoses from the power steering gear.
