You need to access the endgate panel by opening it first to remove the screws connecting the inside rear Door Handle to the assembly. You need to put a rivet gun (J 34940) to the job of drilling out endgate handle assembly rivets before taking this unit off from the endgate. Position the endgate handle assembly onto the endgate system and then fasten it with two rivets through the rivet gun (J 34940). Secure the inside handle to the endgate handle assembly by fitting the screws then rotating them to 2.8 n.m (25 lb in).

Beginning the front inside door handle replacement requires step one to remove the door trim panel alongside removal of inside door handle rods and retention rivets. A backward motion on the inside door handle will allow you to break its connection to the door structure. Start by inserting the new inside door handle forward where it should fit properly before adding the retaining rivets which must be followed by installing the inside door handle rods. You should place the door trim panel back into position at the end.

A tailgate release handle replacement starts with opening the endgate then drilling out the rivets attaching the endgate handle assembly to the endgate. You should begin by installing the rivet gun (J 34940) for drilling out rivets which hold the endgate handle assembly to the endgate before you extract the assembly from the gate. Install the endgate handle assembly onto the endgate through two rivet holes with aid from the rivet gun (J 34940). Use a rivet gun (J 34940) to drill the rivets that hold the endgate handle assembly to the endgate, before reinstalling the screws to join the inside handle with the endgate handle assembly. Tighten screws to 2.8 n.m force (25 lb in torque).

The process to replace the front side door outside handle starts by closing the window after which you should remove the door trim panel and the water deflector. Start by removing the access hole plug from the outside door handle screw location before detaching both the outside door lock rod and the outside door handle rod from the handle. The outside door handle requires the removal of securing screws from both door panel and door handle before extracting each part along with the retention of the lock cylinder within the handle. The installation process starts with attaching the lock cylinder to the outside door handle and following withhandle reattachment to the door. Use the provided screws to fix the outside door handle to the door panel while tightening them to 4 N.m (35 lb in). First connect the outside door lock rod and outside door handle rod and after that install the outside door handle screw access hole plug. Follow by installing the water deflector and its subsequent installation of the door trim panel.

A person must first uninstall the door trim panel when replacing the front door interior handle. First remove the handle retaining bolt while sliding the handle forward until the handle locator tab frees from its cutout. Start by unlocking the rod retainer locks and extracting the rods from the handle until you can take out the handle from the door. Position the handle on the door before installing the rods to the handle and finally tightening the rod retainer locks. After placing the handle locator tab into the locator cutout you should move the handle toward the rear until the fastener hole properly lines up with the door. Reinstall the door trim panel after inserting the handle retaining bolt which must be tightened to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

Begin by closing the window after you detach the door trim panel when you want to replace the rear outside door handle. Expose the specified area of the water deflector to see the door handle screw access hole and then remove the plug from that hole. You can remove the outside door handle by detaching its rod from the handle then unscrewing the handle from the door panel controls. Place the outside door handle on the door before using screws to fix it in position while tightening them to 4 N.m (35 lb in). Reinstall the outside door handle rod before plugging the screw access hole then reinstall the water deflector corner to its original position followed by reinstallation of the door trim panel.

Insert the screw that retains the inside door handle bezel to the door trim panel and tighten it to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

Take out the outside door handle screw access hole plug.

Take out the inside door handle rod and the retaining rivets for the inside door handle.

Install the screws to retain the inside handle to the endgate handle assembly, tightening them to 2.8 N.m (25 lb in).

Reinstall the door trim panel.

Attach the door trim panel.

Close the window and remove the door trim panel.

Position the new latch control handle onto the door and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
