    Q:
How to replace the A/C Hose on Chevrolet S10? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Evaporator tube change process begins by removing the battery along with recovering system refrigerant and then continues with Evaporator tube clip and retaining screw removal from the accumulator. Start by removing the Evaporator tube retaining screw followed by the Evaporator tube clip from the accumulator prior to removing the Evaporator tube from the Evaporator. Discard the o-ring seal while you should take out either the air intake resonator (2.2L engines) or the lower Radiator Hose (4.3L engines). The next procedure involves taking out the Evaporator tube from the condenser while also discarding the attached o-ring seal. Place a new o-ring seal coated with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil onto the Evaporator tube before installing it to the condenser by tightening it up to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). You should reinstall the air intake resonator or lower Radiator Hose alongside another new o-ring seal coated with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil. Afterwards, attach the Evaporator tube to the Evaporator and torque the connection to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). The installation process involves placing the Evaporator tube clip onto the accumulator and attaching it with the Evaporator tube retaining screw then secure it at 1.9 n.m (17 lb in). To finish the repair you must replace the battery and run a refrigerant system evacuation then replenishment followed by halogen leak testing of fittings through j 39400-a.
