    Q:
How to replace the A/C Hose in the HVAC system on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the suction hose in hvac systems requires Battery Cable disconnection followed by refrigerant recovery from the a/c system. Place the vehicle on a support stand and eliminate the air baffle bolts while taking away the entire air baffle. The next step involves removing the suction hose to evaporator outlet tube bolt followed by disconnecting the suction hose from the evaporator outlet tube. System contamination should be prevented by immediately capping or taping the open A/C Hose before you cap or tape off the evaporator outlet tube. Before taking apart the suction hose from the compressor, remove its nut then disconnect and cap the suction hose from the compressor suction port. Discard the sealing washers. Before seating a new compressor-end suction hose sealing washer users must clean both components and suction hose sealing surfaces with a lint-free dry-cloth before pressing the washer into position. Connect the suction hose to the compressor after you remove the cap or tape from the compressor suction port and tighten the hose to compressor nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The service technician needs to install a new sealing washer at the suction hose to evaporator outlet tube fitting and remove any caps or tape before connecting the suction hose. After which the fitting bolt should be tightened to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Construct the air baffle and its bolts by torquing them to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). After lowering the vehicle remove any air in the a/c system. Perform a leak test on component fittings through utilization of the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) after which reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
