    Q:
How to replace the fuel filler hose on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Drain the Fuel Tank before starting the replacement of the Fuel Filler Hose by removing the fuel filler cap. You should start by removing the fuel filler pipe screws from the fuel filler pocket before raising and supporting the vehicle. First untighten the Fuel Filler Hose clamp located at the fuel filler pipe section before removing the fuel filler pipe screw which is attached to the underbody. Perform the removal of the fuel filler pipe first from the Fuel Tank hose as well as from the vehicle. Install the fuel filler pipe to the Fuel Tank hose following the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the fuel filler pipe screw to the underbody while tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The Fuel Tank hose should have full contact with the beads (5,3) on the fuel filler pipe before tightening the clamp to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Lower the vehicle and replace both fuel filler pipe screws into the fuel filler pocket while tightening them to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Fuel addition needs to be carried out before installing the fuel fill cap while carefully observing for fuel leak indicators.
