How to service and repair the front Sway Bar Bushing on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for sway bar bushing service and repair on the front requires vehicle lifting before providing support. First remove the sway bar bracket bolts and then you can remove the sway bar bracket. A pry bar should be used to elevate the sway bar so you can remove the sway bar insulator. You must use the pry bar to lift the sway bar while installing the sway bar insulator then the sway bar bracket. After installation of the sway bar bracket bolts you must tighten them to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Front Sway Bar Bushing (FE7) on Cadillac DTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the Sway Bar Bushing (FE7) requires that the vehicle first be lifted and properly supported. Tear out the sway bar bracket retaining bolt to lift and remove the bracket end through upward bending. To begin replace the work start with removing the sway bar bushing. Installation of the new sway bar bushing requires positioning it on the sway bar where the slit faces forward. Bend the sway bar bracket downward for placing it around the bushing before checking that the sway bar bushings properly fit into the clamps. Install new clamps whenever the sway bar bushings fail to fit correctly. Proper sway bar centering must occur before installing bracket bolts. Complete the installation by placing the sway bar bracket bolt then torque it to 33 N.m (24 lb ft). Lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the front sway bar bushing on FE1 and FE3 on Cadillac DTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the sway bar bushing on FE1 and FE3 models starts with lifting and supporting the vehicle. The sway bar bracket bolt needs removal before prying open the sway bar bracket end to detach it. Use a pry bar to push the sway bar towards the back and take out the sway bar bushing. Use the pry bar to shift the sway bar toward the rear of the vehicle for installing the new sway bar bushing while orienting its slit toward the front of the sway bar bracket. After centering the sway bar perform the bracket mounting by applying downward pressure to the sway bar bushing and tightening its bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft). Torque all sway bar bracket bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft) then decrease the height of the vehicle.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Bushing with RPO FE1 or FE3 on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
The service and repair of Sway Bar Bushing under rpo fe1 or fe3 requires vehicle lifting followed by supporting the frame to achieve free Control Arm movement. Remove first the wheels then remove the sway bar link bolts and brackets before taking off the sway bar insulator connected to the bracket. Follow fastener guidelines in order to perform stable installation of right and left sway bar insulators along with their brackets and bolts. The next step involves installing the sway bar link insulators and washers with nut and bolt that should be loosely tightened. Apply torque of 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.) to sway bar to frame bolts while the sway bar link nut should be tightened to 17 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). The procedure ends by reinstalling wheels and tires along with wheel nut tightening to 125 nm (80 ft. Lbs.) before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to service and repair the front sway bar bushing with RPO FE1 or FE3 on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
A service or repair process for the sway bar bushing with RPO FE1 or FE3 requires support of the vehicle at height. Start by unscrewing the sway bar shaft bracket bolt before you bend the bracket end upward to remove it. You should use a pry bar to push the sway bar shaft backward before you remove the sway bar shaft insulator. Apply the pry bar to push the sway bar shaft backward during installation before you put on the sway bar shaft insulator so the slit sits right in front of the sway bar shaft bracket. Secure the sway bar shaft insulator using the sway bar shaft bracket while bending the bracket downward until the sway bar shaft remains perfectly centered. The vehicle should be lowered after finishing sway bar shaft bracket bolt tightening to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
