    Q:
How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on GMC Terrain? Posted by Customer
    A:
First lift and support the vehicle before beginning Sway Bar Link replacement in the rear suspension assembly. Start by removing both the tire and wheel from the back of the vehicle. Using a 90-degree bend torx(R) bit remove sway bar clamp bolts for ball stud stabilization during bolt tightening and loosening procedures. While applying a wrench to the link procure the Sway Bar Link and sway bar and rotate the sway bar nut. Start by pulling the Sway Bar Link to lower Control Arm nut then take out the Sway Bar Link from the vehicle. To place the Sway Bar Link through the lower Control Arm users need to use a wrench to stop the link from turning as they install it. Screw the Sway Bar Link to lower Control Arm nut with 15 nm (11 lb ft) torque then secure the Sway Bar Link to sway bar nut at 50 nm (37 lb ft). Replace the rear tire and wheel assembly while the vehicle stays on level ground. Secure loose sway bar clamp bolts at a torque setting of 70 nm (52 lb ft).
