    Replace the wiper motor by first removing the wiper arms, then the air inlet grille panel. Remove the wiper motor electrical connector and unscrew the four screws that hold the wiper system drive module in place. Remove the wiper drive system module from the vehicle and unhook the-drive link from the wiper motor crank-arm using the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232). Then, remove the two bolts that hold the wiper motor in place and pull out the wiper motor from the wiper drive system module. For installation, start by fitting the wiper motor onto the wiper drive system module with the two bolts, torquing it to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Attach the drive link to the wiper motor crank arm with the help of the Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529) and set the wiper drive system module in their place on the vehicle and lock them in place with the four bolts and tighten them to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor and replace the air inlet grille panel as well as the wiper arms. Lastly, use the wipers to test their functionality.

    Start replacing the wiper motor by getting both the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) and Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529). Start by taking off both wiper arms together with the air inlet grille panel. Unplug the wiper motor electrical connector but keep it attached to the module. Then remove the four mounting bolts and take the entire wiper system drive module out of the car. The new wiper motor installation starts by using the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) to disconnect the wiper motor crank arm from the drive link then removing its two retaining bolts and pulling the motor out of the wiper drive system module. Install the new wiper motor onto the wiper drive system module and fasten it with two bolts while tightening the bolts to 8Nm of torque (71inch pounds). Replace both drive link ends on the wiper arm using the Wiper Transmission Installer before you put back the wiper drive system module and fasten it with four bolts at 8 N.m (71 lb in). Connect the wiper motor electrical connector and put back the air inlet grille panel and the wiper arms. Check whether the wipers work correctly by turning them on.
