One must start by supporting and elevating the automobile before replacing the left Engine Mount Bracket. A screw jack equipped with a wooden block under the Oil Pan should be installed to support the vehicle when removing the lower Engine Mount retaining nut. The screw jack should elevate the engine to eliminate mount weight before you detach both the upper Engine Mount retaining nut and the mount using care to prevent deformation or bending of the Engine Mount heat shield. Beginning with the left Engine Mount Bracket keeping bolts you should proceed to also remove the bracket itself. Begin the installation by securing the left Engine Mount Bracket along with its bolts then tighten them to 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Fit the Engine Mount to the vehicle while you should next install and torque the upper Engine Mount retaining nut to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). Lower the engine using a screw jack while the weight rests on the mount before installing the lower retaining nut which should be tightened to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). After completion you should remove both the screw jack and block of wood from under the Oil Pan while lowering the vehicle.

A suitable starting point for replacing the right Engine Mount Bracket (W/AWD) requires raising and supporting the vehicle. Install a screw jack with support blocks underneath the Oil Pan when working on the right Exhaust Manifold before starting the replacement process. The right engine mount upper retaining nut should be removed first before securing the engine mount heat shield from distortion while also removing the right Engine Mount Bracket mounting bolts. Dock the Engine Mount Bracket from the automobile. Insert the Engine Mount Bracket on the vehicle before securing its mounting bolts tight at 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). The procedure to install the upper engine mount retaining nut consists of applying 80 nm torque force (59 ft. Lbs.). Last step is to install the right Exhaust Manifold before lowering the vehicle.

Remove the top engine mount retaining nut and detach the engine mount from the engine mount bracket.

Insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support to prevent oil pan damage and potential engine failure.

Reinstall the right exhaust manifold and lower the vehicle.

Remove the screw jack and lower the vehicle.

Remove the transmission jack, reinstall the exhaust system, and lower the vehicle.

Position the engine mount onto the vehicle and install the upper engine mount retaining nut.

Install and tighten the engine mount retaining nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).

First, hand-install the transfer case mounting bolts, then tighten the right side bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb ft) and the left side bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb ft).

Position the engine mount back into place, ensuring to adhere to the Fastener Notice.

Raise the transmission/transaxle to remove weight from the transmission/transaxle mount, creating slight tension in the rubber.

Remove the lower engine mount retaining nut and raise the engine using the screw jack until the weight is off the mount.

Position the engine mount back into place and install the lower retaining nuts.
