    To replace the Brake Backing Plate, first, lift the vehicle and removed the tire and wheel assembly, as well as Brake Drum, brake shoes, wheel cylinder and Axle Shaft. Next, remove the backing plate bolts and the backing plate itself. For installation, first, put the new backing plate and make sure to comply with fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the backing plate with bolts that have been tightened to 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.) then reinstall Axle Shaft, wheel cylinder, brake shoes and Brake Drum. Lastly, you should reinstall the tire and wheel assembly, lower your vehicle, and then bleed your vehicle's braking system.ular.
