Start by disconnecting both air pipes from the secondary air injection (AIR) reaction pump followed by removing the electrical Relay from the air pump bracket while disconnecting its electrical connector from the air pump. You must detach the air pump bracket from the vehicle frame through 3 bolts before extracting the air pump from the vehicle. Position the air pump inside the vehicle then install 3 bolts to fix the air pump bracket to the vehicle frame while tightening them to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The electrical connector should be connected to the air pump before reinstalling the electrical Relay onto its mounting bracket. The air pump installation process requires clean pipes for air inlet and outlet before the connection to the pump and both pipes must be linked. Finally, lower the vehicle.
