    Q:
How to replace the secondary air inject check valve on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of the secondary air injection solenoid valve begins with removing the air cleaner outlet resonator followed by disconnecting electrical connectors from the secondary air injection (AIR) reaction solenoid valve and the AIR pump air outlet pipe from the AIR solenoid valve. Afterward remove the nut that holds the transmission fluid level indicator tube to the AIR solenoid valve and pull out the indicator tube from the AIR solenoid valve stud. Remove the gasket and both 2 AIR solenoid valve studs and the AIR solenoid valve from the engine compartment. Position the AIR solenoid valve with a gasket on the engine while installing two AIR solenoid valve studs with proper torque to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Connect the transmission fluid level indicator tube to the AIR solenoid valve stud while you secure it with nut before tightening it to 10 N.m (89 lb in). The AIR pump air outlet pipe needs to be connected with the electrical connector to the solenoid valve while you reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator.

    Q:
How to replace the front Air Inject Check Valve on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
As the first step in secondary air injection solenoid valve replacement you need to take out the air cleaner outlet resonator. First disconnect the AIR solenoid valve electrical connector from both the secondary air injection (AIR) reaction valve and the AIR pump exhaust pipe at the solenoid valve. The transmission fluid level indicator tube must be detached from the AIR solenoid valve through the removal of the securing nut at the socket. Afterward extract the tube from the AIR solenoid valve stud. Take out the AIR solenoid valve and its gasket from the engine after removing its two mounting studs. The procedure for installation requires placing the AIR solenoid valve with its gasket onto the engine while installing the 2 AIR solenoid valve studs with a torque of 25 Nm (18 lb ft). The transmission fluid level indicator tube can be reattached to the AIR solenoid valve stud using the provided nut while tightening it to 10 Nm (89 lb in). The installation process starts by attaching the AIR pump air outlet pipe to the AIR solenoid valve then inserting the electrical connector to the valve and reinstalling the air cleaner outlet resonator.
