    Q:
How to replace the rear brake disc on Chevrolet Blazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The rear Brake Disc replacement requires obtaining the wheel hub resurfacing kit as item j42450-a. Start by taking off the brake caliper without its hose then removing both the brake pads and caliper attach point. Take out the disc retainers made from sheet metal and examine the Brake Disc. Resurface and install the disc if needed. Before starting ensure the axle flange has no rust or foreign matter using the wheel hub resurfacing kit (J42450-A) or the disc replacement will affect lateral runout and brake performance. First put on either fresh brake discs or service ones and follow with the brake caliper mount installation. Next add the brake pads before attaching the brake caliper. Keep the vehicle stationary until you get complete brake pedal resistance to protect yourself from getting injured.

    Q:
How to replace the rear brake disc on GMC Jimmy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by taking out the caliper bracket bolts from their positions but keep the brake hose connected to the caliper unit and the caliper bracket attached. Lift the caliper and bracket unit slowly before you remove and get rid of the metal sheet retainers. Turn the Brake Disc on the axle slowly and move it away from the flange to take it off. Then examine and clean all parts while replacing any malfunctioning items. If needed, refinish the Brake Disc. Use the cleaning kit j 42450-a to prepare the axle flange before installing the Brake Disc. Simply turn the Brake Disc slowly while pressing it towards the axle flange. Begin by adding the Brake Caliper Bracket assembly first before placing new brake pads and the brake caliper properly. Make sure to normalize new or reworked brake discs before operating the vehicle because a firm pedal brake is essential for safety.
