    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of power steering reservoir requires placing the hydraulic pump on a solid flat surface with its shaft at an upward position. You should use a screwdriver to extend the retaining clip tab while pushing the reservoir clip away from its position in the hydraulic pump assembly. Remove the second reservoir clip through the same procedure before extracting the reservoir from its position in the hydraulic pump housing. The neck of the reservoir or inside the hydraulic pump housing requires discarding the O-ring seal. Apply power steering fluid on the new O-ring seal before fitting it to the reservoir neck. After installing the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly ensure its neck extends completely into position. Follow the sides of the hydraulic pump housing with the feet of the reservoir before installing the new reservoir retaining clips provided by the pump manufacturer while verifying that the retaining clip tabs extend fully into the hydraulic pump housing.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir for the CB Series on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for power steering reservoir requires fixing the CB Series vehicle on a steady flat surface with hydraulic pump shaft facing upward. A screwdriver enables you to expand the retaining clip tab before removing the reservoir clip from the hydraulic pump assembly. The second reservoir clip should be removed through repeating this procedure before extraction of the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing. Transfer either the O-ring seal from the reservoir neck or from inside the hydraulic pump housing to waste. The neck of the reservoir should receive power steering fluid before installation of the new O-ring seal. Place the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly while confirming that the reservoir neck expands completely. Place the reservoir feet at the edges of the hydraulic pump housing before adding the new retaining clips provided with the unit while making sure the clip tabs wrap completely around the pump housing.
