Temperature Sensor

To remove the Ambient Temperature Sensor, disconnect the electrical connector from it and remove it from the clip, then from the vehicle. For installation, place the new sensor and hook it up to the clip and attach the electrical connector.

Left hand drive vehicles require that you remove the knee bolster before disconnecting the aspirator hose from the hvac module to replace the inside Air Temperature Sensor . Carefully push the sensor outward from its panel location to remove the inside Air Temperature Sensor before disconnecting its electrical connection along with the aspirator hose. Integrate the new inside Air Temperature Sensor into its position after sensor removal and verify proper placement of foam seal tape which must cover the sides of the grille assembly . Connect the aspirator hose to the inside temperature sensor before proceeding to connect the electrical connector . To finish install the inside Air Temperature Sensor inside its proper location within the instrument panel before connecting back the aspirator hose to the hvac module and reinstalling the knee bolster.

First, you will remove the I/P cluster trim panel in order to replace the inside air temperature sensor. Subsequently, separate the two hose aspirator and the connector from the inside air temperature sensor. Then, do not forget to disconnect the retaining clips and take off the inside air temperature sensor . For installation, first you would install the new inside air temperature sensor then you would connect the electrical connector and the aspirator hose to the scene. Finally, reinstall the I/P cluster trim panel.

The sensor must be partially extracted from the headliner before removing the sensor grille component. Completely remove the inside air temperature sensor from its position in the headliner. Begin installation by mounting the new sensor grille on the headliner followed by installation of the inside air temperature sensor with its sensor grille. Reconnect the electrical connector to the inside air temperature sensor then reinstall the left sunshade and left center pillar garnish molding and left center assist handle before installing the left windshield garnish molding.

Start by removing the left windshield garnish molding then complete the process by removing the left center pillar assist handle before taking off the center pillar garnish molding. You should start by removing the left sunshade before gently lowering the headliner. First disconnect the electrical connector from the inside air temperature sensor and remove part of the sensor from the headliner. Before replacement you must remove the sensor grille covering the temperature sensor then disconnect the sensor completely. Begin the installation by connecting the sensor grille to the headliner followed by installation of the inside air temperature sensor and electrical connector attachment. Put back the left sunshade along with the left center pillar garnish molding and the left center assist handle before reattaching the left windshield garnish molding.

The inside air temperature sensor replacement process starts with left windshield garnish molding removal followed by left center pillar assist handle and center pillar garnish molding removal. Start by removing the left sunshade followed by carefully lowering the headliner. You need to disconnect the electrical connector from inside air temperature sensor before gently removing part of the sensor from the headliner. After removing the sensor grille from the inside air temperature sensor you should remove the entire sensor. Start by fitting the new sensor grille to the headliner followed by installing the inside air temperature sensor while connecting its electrical connector. The installation sequence begins with the left sunshade followed by left center pillar garnish molding and left center assist handle until the left windshield garnish molding completes the process.

Begin by placing the inside air temperature sensor back into the instrument panel, ensuring the foam seal tape is properly positioned to cover the openings on the sides of the grille assembly.

First, remove the knee bolster and disconnect the aspirator hose from the HVAC module.

Remove the left closeout panel and the knee bolster.

Connect the electrical connector to the new ambient air temperature sensor and position it onto the front impact bar, ensuring the locating tabs are properly seated in the holes.
