    Begin by raising the vehicle when replacing the rear Brake Backing Plate. Begin by taking out the left then right park brake cables according to the instructions for the left side (Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side) and right side (Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side). Start by removing the Wheel Cylinder (Wheel Cylinder Replacement) followed by the rear Axle Shaft (Rear Axle Shaft Replacement). Take out the backing plate mounting bolts before removing the backing plate. Install the new backing plate onto the rear axle housing after placing it correctly then bolt the backing plate mounting bolts while ensuring a 135 n.m (100 lb ft) torque. Install the backing plate retaining bolts next. Begin Wheel Cylinder installation (Wheel Cylinder Replacement) followed by both park brake cables starting with the left (Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side) and moving on to the right side (Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side). After the rear Axle Shaft installation complete the process by lowering the vehicle.

    To replace the drum Brake Backing Plate first lift the vehicle and remove the park break cables, wheel cylinder and rear Axle Shaft. Next, remove the backing plate mounting bolts and take out the backing plate. In installing the vehicle, place the backing plate to the rear axle housing, and tighten the backing plate mounting bolt, you must comply with fastener notice. Next, install the backing plate retaining bolts, tightened mounting bolts to 135 n.m (100 lb ft). Later on, reinstall the Wheel Cylinder, park brakes cables, and rear Axle Shaft before lowering the car.
