    Q:
How to replace the front coolant reservoir on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of a coolant reservoir requires you to drain the cooling system partially. Through the use of Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) remove the inlet hose from the coolant reservoir by relocating its clamp. You must use Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) to adjust the outlet hose clamp setting before unfastening the outlet hose. First detach the coolant reservoir retaining bolt before tilting the coolant reservoir assembly and disconnecting its electrical connector. Take out the coolant reservoir from its installation position on the vehicle. Before attaching the coolant reservoir electrical connector users should apply clean coolant to the hose inner diameters. Secure the coolant reservoir installation by using a 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque setting on the retaining bolt. Attach the outlet hose to its fitting before using Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) to modify the outlet hose clamp position. Place the inlet hose before clamping it with Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185). Finish by attaching the overflow hose. Finally complete the process by addition of coolant to the system.

    Q:
How to Replace a Coolant Reservoir in a Radiator Surge Tank on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before changing the coolant reservoir, it is recommended to partially drain the cooling system. Then disengage the overflow hose from the reservoir and then use J 38185 (Hose Clamp Pliers), reposition the reservoir inlet hose clamp and remove the inlet hose. Then, move the reservoir outlet hose clamp with J 38185 and remove the outlet hose. Lose the reservoir retaining bolt and tilt the parts of the reservoir assembly besides disconnecting the electrical connector. For installation, plug in the connector to the electricity and grease the interior measuring of the hose with clean coolant. Install the reservoir while at the same time tighten the retaining bolt at 9 Nm (80lb in). Reconnect the outlet hose and the outlet hose clamp with J 38185 along with installation of the inlet hose with its clamp replaced. Finally, take the overflow hose and fill up the cooling system.
