    The first step to replace the bank 1 secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve involves disconnecting its electrical connector followed by removing the nut between the valve and the intermediate hose. The outlet pipe extraction from the Exhaust Manifold begins by removing 2 nuts while the 3 air shut-off valve cam cover retaining bolts are also removed before removing the outlet pipe with bracket from the engine's area. Discard the existing gasket during this step. Proceed to remove two outlet pipe securing nuts from the air shut-off valve followed by discarding the gasket. The installation process entails using a new outlet pipe gasket to position the air shut-off valve towards the outlet pipe and bracket before tightening the two nuts to 9 nm (80 lb in). To install this component first position the air shut-off valve bracket with the cam cover while placing an outlet pipe gasket between the Exhaust Manifold and the air shut-off valve. After that secure the 3 bolts to tighten at 9 nm (80 lb in). Connect and tighten an intermediate hose to the air shut-off valve before securing it with another nut which should be tightened to 9 nm (80 lb in). Connect the electrical connector to finish the installation of the air shut-off valve.

    The first step of secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve replacement on bank 1 involves disconnecting its electrical connector. Originally remove the retaining nut which connects the intermediate hose to the air shut-off valve and disconnect the hose. Start by taking out the 2 outlet pipe nuts connecting it to the Exhaust Manifold followed by loosening the 3 air shut-off valve bolts on the cam cover before removing the air shut-off valve together with its outlet pipe and bracket from the engine. Discard the gasket during removal. Discard the gasket before you remove 2 nuts that connect the outlet pipe and bracket to the air shut-off valve. Place the new air shut-off valve with a fresh outlet pipe gasket on the outlet pipe and bracket before securing it using 2 nuts which should be tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Install a new outlet pipe gasket to the Exhaust Manifold and place the air shut-off valve bracket assembly to the cam cover and Exhaust Manifold before tightening the 3 securing bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Secure the outlet pipe to the Exhaust Manifold using 2 nuts which should be tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Afterward attach the intermediate hose to the air shut-off valve and fasten the installed nut using 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque. Attach the electrical connection to the air shut-off valve sealing the operation.
