How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve for Bank 2 on 2004 Cadillac DeVille?

The procedure to replace the bank 2 secondary air injection shut-off valve starts by taking off the air cleaner assembly first. First disconnect the electrical connector from the secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve before you lower its pinch clamp on the intermediate hose. After that you can disconnect the hose from the valve. The air shut-off valve requires removal with 2 nuts that hold it in position to the outlet pipe and bracket. Then discard the gasket as you remove the valve. Set the new air shut-off valve with an outlet pipe gasket into position against the outlet pipe and bracket after which install the 2 nuts and torque them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach the intermediate hose to the air shut-off valve and fasten the pinch clamp before reestablishing connection of the electrical connector to the air shut-off valve. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly after completion of all installation tasks.
