Begin replacement of the rear door opening weather strip by removing the rear corner garnish molding together with the driver side body side rear trim panel and passenger side rear corner trim panel and establishing access to the rear floor trim plate before removing the rear door opening frame garnish molding. You should use 3M Release Agent or an equivalent product to remove the rear door opening weather strip from the door opening pinch-weld flange. Apply weather strip adhesive into the channel of the rear door opening weather strip through the use of GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or another equivalent product. Begin placing the weather strips at their edges to connect them with the door pinch-weld flange while maintaining corner stability. Locate the weather strip into its final placement before using adhesive on the bottom ends if reusing the original piece. When ready to reinstall the components, fit retainers on the weather strip ends through floor panel holes next place the rear door opening frame garnish molding followed by rear floor trim plate, passenger side rear corner trim panel and driver side body side rear trim panel before completing with the rear corner garnish molding.

Ensure the corners are properly aligned with the body.

Guide the seal through the opening between the body and the hinges, then install it starting at the top center of the liftgate opening, positioning it against the pinch-weld flange and working down both sides towards the bottom center.

Clean all adhesive from the cargo door opening pinch-weld flange using GM P/N 8984 adhesive remover or equivalent.

Gently pull the door opening weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Install the new side rear door lower weatherstrip onto the door.

Reinstall the front door stepwell mat, followed by the front door lower pillar garnish molding, front door upper pillar garnish molding, and finally the hinge pillar trim panel.

Insert the pocket over the door flange and push down the pins until fully seated, ensuring there are no gaps between the door and the weatherstrip.

Gently pull on the weatherstrip to remove it from the door pillar, then take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the door pillar.

Press the retainers into the weatherstrip and into the holes in the roof rail.

Install the butt joint seam at the center of the bottom pinch-weld flange.

Apply GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or an equivalent adhesive into the channel on the new weatherstrip.

Use GM Weatherstrip Adhesive GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or an equivalent to secure the top of the weatherstrip to the door.

Apply weatherstrip adhesive using GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or an equivalent.

Place the side door window weatherstrip onto the window opening pinch-weld flange and press it into position.

Apply weatherstrip adhesive into the channel on the new side door opening weatherstrip using GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or an equivalent.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door.

Clean all adhesive from the flange using GM P/N 8984 adhesive remover or an equivalent product.

Install the new weatherstrip onto the sliding side door.

First, remove the weatherstrip from the roof rail and take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the roof rail.

Gently pull the door opening weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the door pillar.

Begin by removing the rear corner garnish molding, the driver side body side rear trim panel, the passenger side rear corner trim panel, the rear floor trim plate, and the rear door opening frame garnish molding.

Pull the sliding side door window weatherstrip from the window opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Position the weatherstrip onto the pillar and press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door pillar.

Reinstall the hinged body side window and finally, the sliding side door upper trim panel.

It does not pull away at the corners.

Align the slot in the rear hood seal with the cowl pinch-weld flange and press the rear hood seal into place.

Press the weatherstrip into place and secure it with the retainers at the ends, then reinstall the hinge pillar upper garnish, hinge pillar lower garnish molding, passenger side front corner garnish molding, passenger side body side trim panel, and the side door step well mat.

Peel off the liner from the saturated foam and spray an 85 percent alcohol and 15 percent water mixture per GM 9981293 onto the saturated foam patch.

Start at the corners, aligning the weatherstrip with the door opening pinch-weld flange, ensuring the corners remain in place.

Open the cargo door and pull the seal from the cargo door opening pinch-weld flange.

Gently pull the door opening weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Apply a mild soap and water solution to the new weatherstrip, then start at the bottom of the channel and slide it up to the top of the door.

Remove the weatherstrip from the sliding side door and take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the sliding side door.

Reattach the side door trim panel to complete the process.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door.

Position the new weatherstrip onto the door and firmly press the retainers into the holes to secure it in place.
