- Q: How to service and repair the front wheel bearing and hub on 2000 Cadillac Eldorado?A: Start the Wheel Bearing and hub repair by lifting the vehicle and supporting its frame with jack stands. Place the drift punch through the rotor to pull out the hub nut before removing the wheel tire. First take off the rotor and then the caliper support and caliper components. Use j 28733-b front hub remover because pushing through the axle will harm the shaft. Use the front hub remover (J 28733-B) to split the drive axle from the hub and then take out the hub and bearing retaining bolts. Sever the abs sensor connector from the hub and bearing assembly and take out the Wheel Bearing and hub . You can install the hub and bearing assembly first by connecting the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Connector to it. Then attach the assembly to the knuckle and tighten its retaining bolts to 95 nm (70ft. Lbs). Apply new caliper bolts to install the caliper first; place the rotor on top. Put the drift punch through the rotor then start to tighten the hub nut with its washer. Put back the complete tire and wheel unit and thread the wheel lug nuts to 140 nm (100 ft. Lbs.), then let the car down and tighten the hub nut to 145 nm (110 ft. Lbs.).
