How to service the rear wheel bearing and hub on 2000 Cadillac Eldorado?

Starting service of the rear wheel components you must lift and stabilize the vehicle under the appropriate stand. Uninstall the tire from wheel assembly and take off the caliper bracket with its attached caliper together with the rotor. Disconnect the anti-lock brake sensor and take off the hub and bearing assembly while clearing away corrosion from the hub mating region. Start installation by placing the hub and bearing unit into position then tighten its mounting bolts to 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.). Insert the ABS Sensor back into place and mount the caliper bracket, rotor, and caliper assembly. Tighten the caliper bracket fasteners to 113 nm and the parking brake cable bracket bolt to 43 nm. Place the wheel and tire unit onto the vehicle by lowering it to completion.
