How to remove and install a wiper arm on 2000 Cadillac Eldorado?

Before handling the Wiper Arm disconnect it at the washer hose port and take away its protective cover. First squeeze a suitable metal tool through both arm-pivot holes next to the Wiper Arm then place and tighten the bolt. A battery terminal puller helps to remove the Wiper Arm from its transmission drive shaft position after cleaning the drive shaft knurls with a wire brush. Uninstall the Wiper Blade from its desired placement on the Wiper Arm. After putting the Wiper Blade on the arm press it against the transmission drive shaft and push it through the park ramp stop point at 25 mm (1 in). After removing the pivot prevention pin or rivet from the Wiper Arm you should install the new nut then tighten it to 32 n.m (24 lb ft). Move the Wiper Arm onto the park ramp before putting back its protective cover and joining the washer tube to its base. Test the wiper operation until you confirm that the lh blade reaches 78mm (3.063in) from the pillar while its tip touches the rr line and the rh blade extends into the lh pattern before stopping at the right park position.
