Use the rubber mallet to drive the weather strip into every corner and pinchweld flange region of the hinge and windshield pillars. The weather strip installation succeeds if it fills the corner area correctly while matching the pinchweld flange curve and covers the complete flange surface to create a seamless door opening edge. It also passes inspection when there is no carrier distortion nor rubber spreading beyond acceptable limits and the material remains smooth after installation.
