  A: Disconnection of the battery ground cable must be the first step before servicing or repairing the Oil Pan. First disconnect the A/C Compressor from its mounting bolts before repositioning it into its new location. Simultaneously secure the compressor. Set up the engine support fixture (J 28467-360) while raising the vehicle. Remove the right Exhaust Manifold's three-way catalytic converter pipe while draining engine oil from the system. Start by removing the Starter motor and unhook the wiring harness for the oil level sensor. Then disconnect the transaxle brace from the Oil Pan. After installing the Starter motor the technician must reconnect the oil level sensor wiring harness before attaching the three-way catalytic converter pipe to the right Exhaust Manifold.
