How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2000 Chevrolet Lumina?

In order to change the rear compartment lid latch, enter the rear compartment and take off the lock actuator. Prepare alignment marks on the lid, take the latch bolts off and unhook the electric connector. Install the new latch, reconnect the electric connector and lock it all then close the compartment.
