How to replace the starter motor on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Disconnect the battery negative cable, raise the vehicle, and remove the front lower air deflector and torque-converter covers. Detach the positive battery cable and solenoid wire, remove starter bolts and the motor. Install the correct PG260 F2 unit, replace shims, tighten bolts and solenoid nuts, reinstall covers, lower vehicle, reconnect battery.
