How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

Processing the camshaft position (CMP) sensor requires first removing 2 fasteners along with 2 plastic retainers after which you can remove the engine cover. Before removing the cmp sensor from the Cylinder Head you should first disconnect its electrical connector and remove the cmp sensor hold-down bolt. The installation of the cmp sensor requires seating it inside the Cylinder Head while you tighten the cmp sensor hold-down bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb in). After reconnecting the cmp electrical connector you should install the engine cover by tightening its 2 fasteners to 8.8 n.m (77 lb in) then put on the 2 plastic retainers.
