How to service and repair the Throttle Position Sensor (TP) on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

The service process for Throttle Position Sensor (TP) begins with removing the Throttle Body. Two fasteners must first be removed from the tp sensor before separating the sensor from the Throttle Body. Safely position the tp sensor on the Throttle Body then fasten it with the 2 hold down fasteners by torquing to 3.5 n.m (30lb in). Reinstallation of the Throttle Body to the Intake Manifold concludes the installation process. The tp sensor functions electrically so its exposure to liquids or solvents will cause damage.
