• Q: How to replace the ignition coil and ignition control module on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

  A: In order to change Ignition Coil(S) and Ignition control module, remove the 2 clips and 2 nuts fixing engine cover (Engine Cover) onto the cylinder head cover. Then lift off the engine cover from the cylinder head cover and remove the electrical connector from each ignition coil. Take off the bolt ( Bolt ) holding each ignition coil to the cylinder head cover and remove each ignition coil from the cylinder head cover. For replacement of the ignition coils, position them back onto the cylinder head cover and ensure that you nuts down the bolts and tighten them to 9 N.m (78 in lb). Reattach each body to the ignition coils electrical connector, then refit the engine cover making sure to check it is secured with the 2 clips and the 2 nuts checking the nuts are tightened up to 9 N.m (78 in lb).
