How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (7X) on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?

In order to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (7X), turn off the Ignition Switch, and elevate the car. Now disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor, remove the bolts/screw that hold the sensor to the engine, and pull off the sensor from the engine. If the sensor is not being replaced, check it for wear, cracks or a leakage. Prior to installation, lubricate the o-ring with clean engine oil and change to a new one if damaged. Mount the sensor onto the block while adhering to the fastener notice in service precautions, and then mount the sensor attaching bolt, torqueing it to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Finally, connect the sensor electric connector and lower the vehicle.
