How to replace the A/C Hose on 2000 GMC Safari?

Start by taking out the air cleaner followed by recovering the refrigerant from the system before tube replacement. You must first uncouple the Evaporator tube from the Evaporator before taking off its o-ring seal. Start by removing the grille then extracting the Evaporator tube from the condenser before removing its o-ring seal. Eliminate the Evaporator tube from all auxiliary a/c Evaporator underbody front tube assemblies if these modules exist on your vehicle. During assembly apply 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the new o-ring seal then install it before installing the Evaporator tube to the condenser . Install the Evaporator tube to the condenser and the Evaporator tube connectors to 27.5 n.m (20 lb ft) torque specifications. First install the grille then coat the o-ring with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil before installing the new o-ring seal. Connect the Evaporator tube to the Evaporator by tightening connectors to 27.5 n.m (20 lb ft). Attach the Evaporator tube to the auxiliary a/c Evaporator then tighten it to 27.5 n.m (20 lb ft). The system evacuation and charging process should follow afterward with leak detection to reinstall the air cleaner.
