How to Replace the A/C Hose Accumulator Tube on the Auxiliary Side on 2001 GMC Safari?

First recover refrigerant from the system before raising and supporting the vehicle when replacing the auxiliary accumulator tube. Start replacement by taking off both the O-ring seal from the rear tube then disconnecting the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube from the compressor hose assembly while removing its O-ring seal. First remove the bolts securing the outlet side tube clips to the body before taking out the auxiliary evaporator side tube from the vehicle. Start installation by fixing the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube onto the vehicle then install the bolts which retain the outlet side tube clips to the body while tightening them to 4 N.m (35 lb in). A new O-ring seal should be installed with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil and used to connect the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube to the compressor hose assembly which needs a torque setting of 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). Secure a second new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the auxiliary evaporator outlet underside body tube and connect it to the auxiliary evaporator rear tube before tightening it to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). Lower the vehicle before evacuating and recharging the system while using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) for a leak test on component fittings.
