How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (24X) on 2001 Buick Century?

Begin the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (24X) replacement process by turning off the ignition system then hoisting the vehicle. Note the hidden sensor harness path during the first step of removing the crankshaft Harmonic Balancer. First remove the harness retaining clip which contains a bolt before disconnecting the sensor electrical connector and removing the sensor bolts to extract the sensor . Position the 24x Crankshaft Position Sensor into its original location using bolts then guide the harness according to the removal instructions. Secure the harness retaining clip with its bolt, then tighten the bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install the balancer on the crankshaft after sensor electrical connector connection then lower your vehicle for operation of the ckp system variation learn procedure.
