First free the Spark Plug and clean its seating area before taking out the plug. You must not touch the Spark Plug until it cools down. Mount the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) over the Spark Plug opening before positioning compressed air through the valve holders. Put the valve spring compressor (J 38606) on the valve spring and unlatch the Rocker Arm. Press the valve spring compressor j 38606 down to reduce valve spring tension and take out the valve locks, valve cap, and valve spring while looking for spring damage. Replace the valve spring if necessary. Install the Valve Stem Oil Seal/spring seat now that you have removed the spring oil seal. Use a suitable driver to press the part onto the valve guide boss. Soak the valve locks in grease and press them onto the valve using the valve spring compressor (J 38606) after spring installation.
