How to Address Issues with the Trunk Latch on 2001 Buick Regal?

In order to change the rear compartment lid latch, open the compartment and notate the position of the latch. Disassemble the electrical connectors and take out the nuts holding the latch. Install the new latch as per the alignment marks, screw the nuts and reconnect the electrical components and close the compartment.
