How to replace the A/C Accumulator in a refrigerant system on 2001 Cadillac DeVille?

In order to replace the accumulator, recuperate the refrigerant, unscrew the Positive battery cable, and take out the A/C line. Unscrew and detach the accumulator cover, detach the hoses and retainer. Install the new accumulator, check that sealing washers have been present. Reconnect hoses, screw in retaining nuts and refill with refrigerant.
