The next procedure requires complete removal of the door module together with the water deflector. You should start by pulling the inside handle assembly forward while prying the front rearward and afterward pulling it outward and sliding it forward to complete the removal. Start the replacement by removing the outside door handle rod from the door latch retainer clip through the inner panel access hole. Disconnect the clip guide from the handle rod as well as the lock rod. The inside lock rod and the outside lock rod need to be detached from the door latch before moving on to remove the fasteners and door latch assembly from the door. Plugging out the electrical connectors and inside handle rod takes place from the door latch.
