    The first step to replace the rear door latch starts with elevating the window to its maximum height. First remove the door trim panel followed by taking out the door module pair with the water deflector. Press the bell crank center tabs toward each other while pulling at the exterior. You can remove the inside handle assembly by first pulling it forward while removing the rearward front while also pulling it outward. Disconnect the lock and handle rods from the clip guides and through the rear access hole of the inner panel disconnect the outside door handle rod from the door latch retainer clip . Use a tool to remove the child security lock and then take away the door latch fasteners while extracting the door latch assembly through its inner panel access hole. Separate both electrical connectors from the door latch and disconnect the inside handle rod and inside lock rod from the latch. Start by connecting the inside lock rod with the inside handle rod to the door latch and then finalize with the electrical connectors. Insert the door latch assembly through the access hole of the inner panel and fasten it securely using fasteners which should be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Press the pin found on the child security lock towards the inner panel opening until complete engagement takes place. To mount the outside handle rod to the latch system an operator should slide it through the retainer clip then seal the clip with its built-in mechanism. Push the rear side of the inside handle assembly into the slot of the inner wall before pushing forward on the front part until the parts fully join. Place the bell crank into the opening before pushing it inward until it fully engages against the inner panel. After that install the lock and handle rods to the clip guides. Testing of the door handles and locking system must be completed before putting in the water deflector. The last step requires users to install the water deflector followed by the door module and the door trim panel.
