  A: The replacement of the throttle position (TP) sensor begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Disconnect the idle air control connector from the fuel injection sight shield by removing its two nuts before you disconnect the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor. The operation starts with removing the Throttle Body assembly after detaching the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor. The installation starts by removing the Throttle Body tp sensor along with its mounting bolts after discarding the o-ring. Attach a new o-ring to the tp sensor before installing the tp sensor to the Throttle Body while screwing each bolt to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in). After reattaching the Throttle Body assembly proceed by connecting the iac electrical connector followed by the tp sensor electrical connector. Proceed with connecting the negative Battery Cable before establishing the fuel injector sight shield onto the engine and tightening the screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in) through the two nuts. Reinstall the rear seat cushion.
