  A: The replacement of hood primary cable starts with removing the radiator support sight shield followed by unfastening the air cleaner assembly and engine compartment fuse and relay center cover. Therefore tie a string to the cable before removal to manage its route during installation. First detach the cable from the primary latch before removing the clips from the cable to direct it along the body rail ending at the vehicle's rear. First disconnect the left sound insulator and the hood release latch fasteners before pushing the cable and grommet into the passenger area. First detach the string from the original cable assembly then take out the cable and release latch from the vehicle.
