Begin by removing the 2 bolts securing the primary latch while disconnecting its Hood Latch release cable from the latch. Installation of the Hood Latch release cable onto the new primary Hood Latch requires positioning the latch within the vehicle before securing the bolts at 11 n.m (97 lb in). Secure the latch with the 2 bolts using a torque of 11 n.m or 97 lb in. The radiator support sight shield needs reinstallation followed by hood closure. Conclude the work by checking the latch operation before making any adjustments if needed.
