How to replace the Brake Light Switch on a right-hand drive on 2001 Cadillac Seville?

Before working on the stoplamp switch you must remove the right closeout/sound insulator to access the switch. Turn the stoplamp/ABS/shift lock switch to the counterclockwise direction and remove it from the vehicle. Connect the electrical wires to the stoplamp switch before inserting the switch inside its holder. Push the switch deeper into the retainer until the switch barrel completely absorbs the plunger. Turn the switch rightward to lock it in place. Reinstall the right panel cover with its noise sealing system.
