    A: The replacement of primary camshaft drive chain and sprockets begins with gathering essential tools that include crankshaft rotation socket (J 39946). Start by removing the Oil Pump and set the primary timing marks straight by using the crankshaft rotation socket (J 39946). The technician should begin by removing the secondary camshaft drive chains before progressing to disconnect the primary drive chain tensioner. Unfasten the camshaft intermediate sprocket holding bolt before you separate it from the primary camshaft drive chain and crankshaft sprocket and camshaft intermediate sprocket unit. Install the main components by placing the camshaft intermediate and crankshaft sprocket timing marks in vertical position then put the primary camshaft drive chain on the drive sprockets while keeping the number 1 piston at top dead center (TDC) at 1 o'clock position. Set the crankshaft rotation socket (J 39946) to align the crankshaft key with the drive sprocket before you install the primary camshaft drive chain and crankshaft sprocket and camshaft intermediate sprocket as an assembly. Attach the camshaft intermediate sprocket retaining bolt then apply torque to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Take out the pin from the tensioner only after installing both secondary timing chains. The first step should be to install the primary drive chain tensioner before moving on to the secondary camshaft drive chains. First uninstall the pin from the primary Timing Chain tensioner release lever while making sure the primary timing marks maintain vertical alignment before finishing with the Oil Pump installation.
