How to replace the right lash adjuster on 2001 Cadillac Seville?

To replace the right valve lifter, you should first have to remove the right valve rocker arms and then remove the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores as well. Remove the valve lifters and check inspect them. Before installation, avoid stroking or cycling the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber. Add new clean engine oil of gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent to shla taking care that the pivot sphere area of shla may not be scratched. Next, fit the new shla into the bores and finally, fitting back the right valve Rocker Arm.
