2001 Cadillac Seville Engine Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the right engine mount on 2001 Cadillac Seville?
A: The first step to replace the right engine mount involves lifting the vehicle before removing the right front wheel. A suitable jack should support the engine assembly as you remove the engine mount bracket's nut which provides connection between the engine mount and the bracket. Start by lowering the jack to permit engine descent after which remove the right engine mount's bolt and nut that attaches to the frame rail before removing the two nuts which secure it to the frame rail. Detach the right engine mount before starting the installation process. The right engine mount installation begins with placing it against the frame rail then attaching the right engine mount attaching bolt and nut to the frame rail while following fastener precautions. Proceed to install the two right engine mount-to-body rail securing nuts (3, 4) only after they reach a torque setting of 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs). The right engine mount receiving nut must be installed to the right engine mount bracket while applying 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) torque. The last step includes taking away the engine support jack before placing the right front wheel then lowering the vehicle.
